On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hoosic Valley Rescue Sqaud, we are pleased to share with the community the good news. The sqaud has been formally recongnized as a charity under Inernal Revenue Code §501(c)(3)
This formal recognition by the Internal Revenue Service now qualifies the Hoosic Valley Rescue Squad for grants from private charitable foundations, and those grants will enable the Squad to render better service (state of the art equipment / upgrades, etc.) at lower cost to constituents in the Town of Schagticoke. Those grants also bring resources into the Town of Schagticoke and Rensselaer County, and even the State of New York, that would not otherwise be available.
